He holds M.Sc. degrees in engineering from the Carnegie Mellon University, USA and from the State University of Campinas, Brazil, where he also graduated as a Computer Engineer.

He has worked mainly with autonomous airships and on exploiting inertial sensors on robotics and computer vision tasks. Former PhD student at ISR, completed in 2009, Adjunct Professor, ITAITA (Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica), São José dos Campos,SP, Brazil
