Micael Santos Couceiro received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering - Automation in 2006, the "Licenciatura" degree (B.Sc. plus 2 years) in Electrical Engineering - Automation and Comunications in 2008, and the M.Sc. degree in Automation and Communications in Energy Systems - Industrial Systems in Jan. 2010, all from the Institute of Engineering of Coimbra, Polytechnic Intitute of Coimbra. He also received in April 2014 the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Coimbra, under the supervision of Prof. Rui P. Rocha (AP4ISR team, ISR - Univ. of Coimbra) and co-supervision of Prof. Nuno F. Ferreira (Polytechnic Intitute of Coimbra). The title of his Ph.D. thesis was "Evolutionary Robot Swarms under Real-World Constraints". He has published papers on swarm robotics, evolutionary algorithms, mobile robotics, biological inspired flying robots and fractional-order control, in several ISI-indexed scientific journals and international conferences. He is currently a research associate in the AP4ISR team at ISR - University of Coimbra. Former PhD student at ISR, completed in 2014, current Research Associate Ingeniarius, 2014-01-07 to present CEO, Coimbra, Portugal Instituto Politécnico de Tomar Escola Superior de Tecnologia de Tomar: Tomar, Santarém, 2016-10-01 to present, Invited Professor. | ||||||||
